About | Speak Kiwi

Does this sound like you?

You’ve been learning English for years  and you can speak English pretty well, but… you feel stuck.

Real life English is nothing like what you learned in the textbook and you’re having trouble taking the leap from learning English in the classroom to using English in the real world.

You love meeting Kiwis but…

…sometimes, well, you just can’t understand what people are saying!

Kiwis use a lot of slang, and when you hear new words, you feel totally lost. And they speak funny… I mean, the Kiwi accent is so strange. Not to mention how fast Kiwis talk! Listening in English can be totally exhausting.

And as for speaking? Well, you practice speaking as often as you can, but you always feel a little nervous. It’s hard to find the right words and expressions, and sometimes you make mistakes.

You’re worried people might not understand you, and it’s frustrating when you can’t express yourself clearly.

And then of course, there’s New Zealand culture, too! You want to experience as much of New Zealand life as you can, but sometimes the differences in culture and lifestyle an be a little confusing.

You’ve got questions, and you wish your could talk to someone who could help you learn more about the Kiwi way of life.
