Are you an English language learner living in New Zealand?
Do you want to improve your communication skills so that you can understand Kiwis more easily and enjoy NZ life?
You’re in the right place!
So… you’re here! You’ve come all the way to New Zealand, and now you’re ready to build a life here.
Welcome! It’s great to have you!
But… you have a problem. You’re having trouble understanding Kiwis. Uh oh!
Look, I get it. English is hard to learn. And Kiwi English? Well, it’s a little harder! Kiwis use a lot of funny slang, they have a strange accent, and they speak very quickly.
In other words, Kiwis speak English differently to the English you learned in textbooks.
So, what can you do?
Well… you need to learn to speak “Kiwi”, of course!
Hey! I’m Rose
I’m an English teacher…
… and I’m here to help you learn New Zealand English. With years of experience as an English teacher, and a lifetime on this planet as a “Kiwi”, I’m keen to share everything I know about New Zealand English

I offer a variety of lessons for motivated ESL learners who want to improve their English for work, life, and study here in Aotearoa New Zealand. With a focus on unique features of how Kiwis talk, these lessons are unlike any other!
